Formatting

Formatting is a pretty big issue for me with this book.  I have formatted heavily in Word, but now I’m thinking about how this would translate in an e-book, and what I need to do to retain the formatting.

I mean – how do you make this work on an e-reader:

concretewriting?

I’m looking into the ‘fixed layout book’ to try and work this one out.

It does raise some interesting questions when considering writing and what I might be willing to cut.  In other words, it’s making me question just how important all the weird formatting is.  I still feel that it’s a core feature of the book, so I don’t think I made these choices to play into the fun of the gimmick.  I just need to make them work in the digital forum.  That’s probably easy isn’t it?  Can’t be much to it.  Can there?
